The Crab, 7 Mile Beach

The Crab is a learning and gathering pavilion within Linnaeus estate at 7 Mile beach. A weathered sculpture in the landscape, long deck arms extend out from the main space as if they are being blown back by persistent ocean winds. The building looks at the idea of the exoskeleton in crustaceans acting as both structure and protection. The Crab has played host to a range of Australian and international artists in residence to produce amazing work.
