Elysium, Byron Bay

ELYSIUM: A place or state of perfect happiness. Wonderland. Paradise. Perfect Bliss.
Our vision is to create an immersive laneway experience which evokes a feeling of optimism and joy. Our concept is inspired by a modern and vibrant Byron Bay, where contemporary art, lighting and nature come together to create a unique sense of place and identity for Lawson Lane.

As part of the Byron Bay master planning process, Creative Road and Jane Fullerton Design are bringing together a collaboration of multi-artform artists and architects to permanently transform a key Byron Bay Laneway – Lawson Lane. Our team is driven by a desire to activate underutilised urban spaces and transform them into places of wonder and beauty. The aim is to uplift and enliven this key CBD site through a curated and considered application of colour, pattern, light, form, texture and planting – sensitively integrated with existing structures and in collaboration with retail tenants and building owners.

HGA are working on the the 2 buildings at the western entrance to the lane. We are exploring botanical structures to form patterns over brick walls and create a hanging sculpture and light installation.
