Rainbirdhouse, Byron Bay

Rainbird House is an addition in Suffolk Park. The existing house was converted to bedrooms and a new living pavilion was added in the backyard with large eaves to the north and covered deck to the east. The freshwater pool was raised up so the summer northerly winds are cooled across its surface to provide a natural air-conditioning system.
